Joseph Pasquale DiCerbo, age 90, formerly of West Haven and Branford, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2018 at CT Hospice with his family at his side. He was the loving husband of Ann Halama DiCerbo of the past 69 years. Father of Laura (Tom) DeLucia of Milford, Andrea Girasuolo of Madison, Marybeth (Luther) Clarke of Guilford and the late Richard DiCerbo. Grandfather of Olivia, Michael and Ella. Joseph was also predeceased by his brother Nunzio DiCerbo.
Joseph was born in New Haven, son of the late Giuseppe and Raffaela Scafariello DiCerbo. He was a proud WWII US Navy Veteran. Joseph was an accomplished musician and he even had his own big band at one point. He was also an excellent artist, well known for his seascapes. Joseph was a member of the West Haven Italian American Club, serving as a past president, a former member of the West Haven Council of Arts, West Haven Board of Finance, a parishioner of Our Lady of Victory Church and an avid New York Yankee Fan.
The hours for visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Family and friends are asked to go directly to Our Lady of Victory Church on Thursday for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:15PM. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in his name to CT.
