Obituary for Mary Grestini

Mary Grestini, age 100, of West Haven passed away with her family by her side on May 18, 2018. Mary was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Domenico and Esterina Serfilippi Mazzoli. She was the wife of the late David G. Grestini, mother of Robert A. Grestini and his wife Raffaelina of West Haven and Loretta V. Butler of NC, grandmother of David (Tina Maxfield) Grestini, Laura Grestini, Marie (Rick) Phillips and Joanne (Joe) Jackson, and great grandmother of Alex Jackson. She is also survived by her brother Daniel (Angela) Mazzoli, her sister-in-law Angela Mazzoli and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son David D. Grestini and her siblings, Ida Vernon, Frank and George Mazzoli. Mary was a longtime parishioner of St. Paul’s Church and a member and past president of the Ladies Marchegian Society.

Family and friends may meet directly at St. Paul’s Church, West Haven on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Lawrence Garden Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Catholic Relief Services P.O. Box 17090 Baltimore, MD 21297-0303 www.crs.org
