Condolence: We were neighbors of Ivan for many years and always enjoyed his sense of humor. We will remember him as a caring and passionate person with so many interests. He will be missed.
I sang Happy Birthday to you on your birthday.
I'm so sorry you weren't able to hear it on your answering machine.
Our shared tradition will be missed.
I didn't hear from you after leaving more phone messages.
I was worried and this morning called to see if you were a patient at YNH Hospital. I then slowly typed your name into Google.
The tears flowed quickly when your obituary came up.
I'm so grateful that we have been close friends for 43 years.
I'll miss you...
Condolence: Ivan was one of a kind ! His interests were many - theater, music, travel, movies. I was lucky to have known him for all my life and to have shared these interests. We spent many evenings at Yale listening to beautiful classical music and also viewing amazing art in the Yale Gallery and the British Museum. I loved listening to his insights on the art and music along with tales of his travels around the world. His slide lectures were fascinating and we tried to attend as many as we could when that was his business. He will be remembered by everyone that ever met him and sorely missed by us ! Rest in peace Uncle Ivan !
Condolence: We have been neighbors of Ivan's in The Greens for more than 20 years. He always took an active interest in what was going on in the community and made sure to keep us informed. He encouraged us to vote and to attend board meetings. His perspective on events and people was always interesting. We will miss seeing his trim upright figure purposefully walking around the Greens. There will be no one else to take on his role of keeping an eye on things. We will miss him. He was special, one of a kind.
