Gail E. Stipa, age 67, of West Haven passed away with her family and friends at her side on May 7, 2017. Loving wife of the late Gerald J. Stipa. She was born in New Haven, daughter of Eleanor McKeon Hawley of West Haven and the late George J. Hawley Sr. She is also survived by her children, Katie Choiniere and her husband Andrew of Ellington and Patrick Stipa and his wife Alissa of MA, her grandson Nathan Choiniere and her brother George J. Hawley Jr. of Waterbury. For over 20 years Gail was a registered nurse at Apple Rehab in West Haven until her retirement.
Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9-10:30 at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Vianney Church at 11am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105-9959.
