David Goldberg, age 73, of West Haven passed away on April 23, 2017. For 50 years he was the adoring husband of Laraine Bernardi Goldberg. He was born in New Haven, son of the late Abraham and Mary Maccariello Goldberg. He was the proud father of Anthony Goldberg and his wife Dana Lynn of Plainville and Gregory Goldberg and his wife Margot of West Haven, cherished grandfather of Evan, Daniel, Noah and Branden, and brother of Michael Goldberg of Hamden. David was a supervisor for United Illuminating prior to his retirement. He was a past member of the Italian American Club, West Haven. David was also an avid sports fan, but his greatest treasure was his grandsons.
The hours for visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Lawrence Church at 10:00. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to American Lung Association 45 Ash Street East Hartford, CT. 06108.
