John Harry Livi, age 87, of Milford, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Saint Raphael Hospital. Born in New Haven on July 5, 1929, John was the son of the late Benadetto and Anna Francolini Livi. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. For most of his life, John was employed as a postal carrier for the US Post Office. He had a big love for animals and always led a very active social life. John participated in all social activities at the Milford Senior Center and volunteered at Saint Raphael Hospital. He was predeceased by his first wife Nancy Riccio, his second wife Hilda, and his siblings Carl Livi and Yola Livi. John is survived by his twin brother Dominic “Mickey” and his wife Ann Livi of Milford and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Lawrence Church at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Saint Lawrence Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association.
