He leaves behind 10 of them whom he adored more than life; David (Tammi) Cantalini of Thomaston, Tracy (Ed) Crowley of Florida, Louis (Sarah) Guida of New York, Rachael (Kurt) Scaranuzzo of Milford, Kathleen Crowley and Daniel Crowley of Oxford, Christopher (Shannon) Guida, Stacey Crowley, Matthew Crowley, and Nicholas Crowley of West Haven. He also leaves behind 12 beautiful grandchildren who adored their gramps and a great grandson.
He was the loving brother to 9 brothers and sisters; Donald (Lorraine) Crowley, Jeraldann Petersen, Joann (Chris) Madden, and Robert Crowley of Florida, James Crowley of Utah, Patricia Pataky and Matthew T. Crowley of Connecticut. He was predeceased by brothers Thomas and William Crowley. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved with all his heart, and he was predeceased by a nephew, Jay Crowley.
David proudly served as a Specialist in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He served as drum major for many years for the Connecticut Alumni Senior Drum and Bugle Corp, where he and Rosella met and made many fond memories with all their drum corp friends. Dave was a former member of the CT Hurricanes and the Milford Shoreliners Drum and Bugle Corps.
Dave loved to travel with his family and especially enjoyed going on cruises, to Las Vegas for Nascar races and going to Disney. He loved spending time helping out the #99 on the Whelen Modified tour. Dave was loved by all who knew him as he had a special way of making each person feel so special. His grandkids were the light of his life and made these last few months times of happiness and not sorrow; they always brought a smile to his face with their unending hugs, kisses, and little gifts.
