Obituary for John DeMartino

John DeMartino, Sr., age 81, of San Rafael, CA, beloved husband to Judy DeMartino, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Born in New Haven, CT on June 3, 1935, John was the son of the late Vincent and Mildred Parese DeMartino. John was a graduate of Hillhouse High School in New Haven and proudly served as a Sargent in the U.S. Marine Corps. Along with his loving wife Judy, John is survived by his sons John DeMartino, Jr., and Ricci DeMartino (Peter DiCecco), grandchildren Marni and Chloe DiCecco, Goddaughter Maryann Lipsett, sister Prudence “Prudy” Belante. John was a beloved brother-in-law and created many special memories as “Uncle John” to his many nieces and nephews. Beside his parents, John was predeceased by his brother Ernest DeMartino.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 9 from 4 to 7 PM at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 10th at 10 AM in St. Lawrence Church. Interment will be private.
