Giacomo “Jack” Izzo, age 87, of New Haven passed away on August 1, 2016. Born in Derby, CT, son of the late Dominic and Matrona Izzo. Husband of Elaine Carrozza Izzo, father of Dominic Izzo of New Haven, Gary and his wife Kathleen, a daughter Elaine and her husband Louis Culmo , grandfather of James, Salvatore, Dominque, and Gary Izzo. He was predeceased by his siblings Rose Hill, Elizabeth Battaglia and John Izzo. Jack served in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952 and he was a Korean War Veteran. He was a piano tuner for many years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Living Word Ministries for many years, playing in the music ministry using his gifts to bless others.
The hours for visitation will be Thursday from 4-7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A Funeral Service will be held Friday morning at the funeral home at 10:30. Interment with military honors will follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery, Derby.
