Theresa Smeriglio, age 99, of New Haven passed away on October 6, 2018. Wife of the late Silvio Smeriglio Sr., she was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Michael and Eleanora Mancarelli Penna. Theresa is survived by her son Silvio (Patty) Smeriglio Jr. of Middletown, her grandchildren Silvio Smeriglio III and Amelia (Jason) Miller and her step grandson Jason Hunter, and great grandchildren Maximilian and Giovanna.
She was predeceased by her daughter Amelia Russo, her grandson Curtis John Russo and her siblings Susie Grillo, Ada Smeriglio, Elizabeth Bellous, Margaret Horwitz, Pompei and Arthur Penna. Theresa was a seamstress for 25 years with Robby Len. She was a foster grandparent at Noble Community Center Day Care in West Haven for many years.
