Lawrence D. Ives, age 82, of Killingworth, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2018. Loving husband, for the past 60 years, of Patricia Sabin Ives. Larry was born in New Haven, son of the late Lawrence and Rose (Mannone) Ives. He was the father of Lawrence J. Ives and his wife Whitney of Milford and Laura Mongillo and her husband Joseph of West Haven, grandfather of Samantha Ives, Alexandra Ives, Joey Mongillo, Billy Ives and Josh Mongillo. He is also survived by his sister Kathleen “Coco” Gaudino of West Haven. Larry was a barber by trade. He owned and operated Larry’s Barber Shop for many years. He then worked for the City of Milford in the Highway Dept. and most recently for the City of Clinton as a School Crossing Guard. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, with a funeral service to follow at the funeral home at 5pm. Interment will be private.
