Jennie Recchia Marchitto, (Aunt Jennie), 102, of West Haven entered into rest on August 14, 2018. She was the wife of the late Joseph Marchitto. Born in New Haven on May 12, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Natle and Rose Beneaquista Recchia. She is survived by her loving family, including her daughter Judy Conlon, daughter-in-law JoAnn Marchitto, sisters Justine Iamele and rose Maggiore, grandchildren Kimberly Conlon, Mark Conlon, Michael (Katy) Marchitto, Andrew Marchitto, great grandchildren Thomas, Melissa and Aiden Conlon, Joseph, Becky and Lilly Marchitto and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son Michael Marchitto, grandson Joseph Michael Conlon, son-in-law Joseph Conlon, her brothers Albert, Anthony and William Recchia and a stepsister Josephine Conway.
Visitation will take place on FRIDAY morning from 10:30 to 12:30 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Paul Church at 1 pm. Interment will be private.
