Edwin Mursko, age 92, of West Haven passed away peacefully on August 9, 2018 at Montowese Health and Rehab Center. He was the loving husband of 61 years of Hilda Beckas Mursko. Born in New Haven, son of the late Michael and Mary Kasarda Mursko. Father of Frances (Jeffrey) Carlow, Joyce (Jay King) Mursko, Vincent (Tammy) Mursko, Michael (Lijiana) Mursko and Joseph (Eric Nelson ) Mursko. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Sal and Alayna DeMaio, Daniel (Poliana) Carlow, Maci, Sydney, and Sam Mursko and Baron Nelson and his sister Evelyn Lee.
He was predeceased by his siblings Frank, Michael and Andrew Mursko, Mary Ek, Julia Medvecky, Anna Kopor, Katherine Marazik, Helen Wargo and Lillian Bennett.
Edwin graduated Commercial High School and Boardman Trade School. He also attended Providence College. He worked for many years for the New Haven Folding Box Company and Federal Paper Board in New Haven and White Plains New York. He also worked at American Rondo Packaging in Naugatuck Conn. He served his country proudly during WWII in the United States Marine Corp. Edwin was a member of the Slovak Wreath Club, American Rabbits Breeders and was a former manager of the Lions Club in the West Haven Little League baseball.
