Carol Jones, age 69, of West Haven, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Leigh, England on September 14, 1948, Daughter of Olive Mylrea Gornall and the late Bill Jones. Before retirement, Carol enjoyed a career as a bookkeeper for various firms. Carol will always be remembered for her fun-loving outlook on life who always put others first and saw the good in everyone. She was beautiful inside and out. Carol will be missed by all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her children, Sean Weir and Nicola (Robert) Houghton, grandchildren, Alexander Weir, Isabella Weir, Liam Weir, Grace Weir, James Houghton, William Houghton, siblings, Brenda, Stephen, Kevin, Sharon, Julie, Tracy, and her loving companion Thomas Heffernan. She was predeceased by her siblings Kathy, Brian, David and Paul.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Friday morning at 10:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Saint John Vianney Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in Saint Lawrence Cemetery.
